Mother’s Day 5k Run / 3k Walk 2011

The 2nd Annual Mother’s Day run/walk held on Sunday May 8, 2011 was a huge success! The weather was beautiful encouraging well over 80 participants to come out. Thanks to our many volunteers and donors who helped this year’s run to be a huge victory, raising over $5000 for Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis.

A huge thank you to our two main sponsors: Reliable Ford and Beano Construction who each donated $500 to help make this run possible. Thank you to Grand River Running & John Mardsen who helped us again this year with their support and of course the finish line! Merrick from The Pound who facilitated a warm-up with the participants, The Gorge Country Kitchen for their donations of snacks and refreshments and to the always supportive Ian Reid for his sound system for the event.
