Volunteering at Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis
Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis would not be able to carry out the work we do without the assistance of our many dedicated and generous volunteers.
Last year alone, 12,856 volunteer hours helped make a difference in the lives of women and children in our community.
We are committed to ensuring that G-W Women in Crisis volunteers have a rewarding experience and that their skills and commitment are valued. There are a number of ongoing volunteer opportunities available. Throughout the year we also seek the support of casual volunteers at various events and fundraising initiatives like the Take Back the Night and our Annual auction.

P.O. Box 1451
Guelph ON N1H 6N9 - To receive an application form by mail, please call 519-836-6831 ext 229.
After reviewing your application, the volunteer coordinator will contact you and invite you for an interview. Most of our volunteer opportunities require a 40-hour training program and a current Police Record Check (no fees). The in-depth training covers the dynamics of women abuse and sexual violence and introduces the new volunteer to the various programs available at G-W Women in Crisis.
No specific skills are required to be a volunteer but a strong desire and commitment to help victims of abuse and their children is important.
